Avant-garde fashion designer and stylist Naka Alexander exudes an unconventional wit and style which dates back to almost three decades ago. While she has been professionally designing and styling for ten years, her affinity to fashion began as a child. Even as a child, she exhibited creative prowess and an outside-of-the box fashion sense.

Naka is guided by the core values of love, style, grace, and service, values instilled by her upbringing and from four years dedicated service in the United States Air Force, where she served as an active duty logistician. After active duty, she decided to fully pursue her true passion, a career in fashion. Naka Alexander holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design and a Master’s in Interior Architecture and Design.

Naka has interned with industry-renowned designers in New York. Her work contributions were showcased during New York Fashion Week Spring 2013 and in Las Vegas at the Fashion Show Mall for Halloween Couture Competition. Her repertoire includes designing and producing pieces in numerous weddings, fashion extravaganzas, magazine, photoshoots, proms, and birthday parties. She is passionate about engaging with military veterans and plans to use her expertise in fashion designing and styling to aid military veterans who are re-assimilating into the workforce.

True to her passion, in 2018, Naka launched Gohagen-Alexander Design Den (G.A.D.D), a bridal lifestyle brand, where she curates custom wedding attire, accessories, and multi-functional pieces for the multi-dimensional woman.

In September 2019, Naka launched "Unconventional," an outré wedding veil line created for the eclectic bride. The line was birthed out of a desire to up the ante on traditional wedding veil designs to provide for a more a non-traditional creative approach to how women wear veils. Her much anticipated wedding gown collection is in production and will be unveiled early 2021. She draws inspiration from all things around her, with the ultimate goal of delivering timeless and iconic creations for her clients. As the leader at Gohagen-Alexander Design Den (G.A.D.D), Naka hopes to make every bride’s voice heard by providing a one-of-kind concierge customer service experience. Naka is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado and is a devoted wife and mother.
